Chardham is very popular in Hindus. It believed that visit of Chardham is a way to get Moksha and goal of life. It is said that the visit of Chardham is necessary atleast once in the whole life of every Hindu. The Chardham is the route of  four holy pilgrimage sites.

Char Dham Darshan:-

Chardham are four holy pilgrimage sites- Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath & Badrinath. These sites is unique in its own fashion, inclusion in the Char Dham has, over time, caused them be viewed together in popular imagination and in pilgrimage practice. These Char Dham (“four abodes”) are four places which the Hindus believed will help them achieve Moksha. Chardham Yatara is an immense important for every devout Hindu atleast once in whole life. Chardham are four holy pilgrimage sites which are opened for pilgrims only for a brief six months. These four holy pilgrimage sites are are opened from the month of April and May. The final Chardham opening dates are declared by the Char Dham temple committee. Usually the dates declared before the holy day of Akha Teej that also known as Akshaya Tritiya. It is believed that this highly auspicious day bring good luck for the Hindu community and the people bought the Gold on this day and it is said that this Gold will never fade away and would continue to grow.

Char Dham Darshan opening & closing time:-

The Gangotri & Yamunotri opens on Akshaya Tritiya every year followed by the opening date of Kedarnath & Badrinath. Yamunotri and Kedarnath Dham close on Yama Dwitiya/Bhai Dooj (Tentative) whereas the Gangotri Dham closes on the day of Diwali(Tentative) and the door of Badrinath temple closes on the day of Vijay Dashami (Tentative).

We should start Chardham Yatra clockwise from Yamunotri towards Gangotri, thereafter to Kedarnath and ultimately concluding at Badrinath. We can also book Char Dham Package from India Easy Trip Pvt. Ltd.

Now for 2018, the final dates for opening for Chardham are 18 April 2018 for Yamunotri & Gangotari, 28 April 2018 for Kedarnath And 30 April for Badrinath. The opening and closing of the holy sites follow the age-old traditional almanac. Highly auspicious dates are considered for the opening and closing of the holy portals of the sites.

Best Time to Visit:-

It is best to take the Char Dham Yatra in mid May to July and September to October due to heavy rainfall in late July and August and tourists flock in large numbers in May and June. The weather remains sunny and comfortable April to June and I think it is a best time to visit Chardham sites. In this season crystal blue sky and the mountains muffled in white clouds, rivers dancing and whispering cedars together make a picture perfect heaven.
